Gorsestar smiled to the black tom that sat from at the entrance to his den, flicking his tail for him to follow. The large bengal tom looked around at IvyClan camp before climbing up the Vinebranch. It only had three cats in it; him, his mate, Mintflower, and their best friend, Birchclaw. Gorsestar dug his claws into the rough bark of the ash tree, lifting himself among the ivy covered tree, his paws fixing around the leafy vines.Gorsestar stood on the Vinebranch, gazing at the camp once again. Mintflower and Birchclaw were sharing a rabbit from their last hunting patrol. With these new cats, there will be more paws to help around here. Gorsestar thought before calling his clan to a meeting.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Vinebranch for a clan meeting!" he called, his strong voice ringing around greatly until it faded into the air. Mintflower picked up her head, before padding alongside Birchclaw to the stump of the tree, both cats intent on what Gorsestar had to say.
"Today, I have found four cats who have requested a home. IvyClan is in great need of cats after..." Gorsestar trailed off, sharing a sad glance with Birchclaw before continuing. "These cats have shown me that they do deserve the rewards that come with being an IvyClan cat. But, I must now give them proper names before allowing them to become full members of our clan," he mewed, looking at the four cats at the stump of the ash tree.
Gorsestar leaped down the Vinebranch, and trotted over towards the group of cats. "Spider," he begun, standing in front of a black tom with a brown underbelly. "when I met you, you fought with bravery and courage. When we searched for those scents, you showed leadership. This is why I make you my deputy. Spider, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect IvyClan, even at the cost of your life?" he asked.
Spider nodded. "I do." he mewed strongly.
"Then from this moment forward, you will be known as Spiderfoot. Swift will be Swiftpaw, and will be trained under my training. Sharp, you will be Sharppaw. And Fern, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect IvyClan, even at the cost of your life?" Gorsestar asked once more, his gaze meeting Fern's.
Fern gulped. "I-I do." she said nervously.
"Then from this moment forward, you will be known as Fernsplash." Gorsestar finished, stepping back.
"Spiderfoot! Swiftpaw! Sharppaw! Fernsplash!" Mintflower and Birchclaw cheered.
"Meeting dismissed!" Gorsestar called, padding to Mintflower and Birchclaw.

Spiderfoot nodded his thanks to Gorsestar. "Thank you for letting the others and I join. We will all serve the clan at our fullest," he meowed nobly.

Swiftpaw cuffed Sharppaw over his ears. "We're apprentices!"

"I know, I'm not mouse-brained!" Sharppaw sneered playfully.

Gorsestar smiled. "Your welcome," he mewed, gazing around IvyClan.

Birchclaw padded up to Fernsplash, dipping his head in respect. "My name is Birchclaw." he mewed.

Spiderfoot nodded. "Is their anything that I should do?" he asked.
~Spiderfoot
"Fernsplash," she meowed quietly. She looked up at Birchclaw.
~Fernsplash
Gorsestar looked at Mintflower, who was trying to patch up the warriors den. "It seems as though Mintflower needs some help patching up the warriors den." he mewed, flicking his tail to his mate.

Birchclaw gazed at Fernsplash. "A nice name," he purred warmly.
~Birchclaw
"I'll go help," Spiderfoot meowed, and bounded off over to Mintflower. "Hello, Spiderfoot's the name," he greeted her. "I see that you need some help."

Fernsplash felt her ear tips grow warm, both with embarassment and happiness. "Your name suites you. Do you hear that a lot?"
~Fernsplash
Mintflower smiled. "Yeah. Gorsestar always assigns me the hard things," she sighed, holding up a bramble vine with her front paws.
~Mintflower
Birchclaw shook his head. "Nope." he mewed.
Spiderfoot grabbed a bramble and added it to the den. He wrapped it around the bramble that Mintflower held. As he worked, he meowed, "So how did you and Gorsestar ask?" He cocked his head to one side.
~Spiderfoot
(He's trying to get to learn more about Mintflower and Gorsestar.)
"Really?" Fernsplash replied shocked. "But it looks like it matches you.."
~Fernsplash
Mintflower looked crossly at him. "How we met....? Why do you want to know?" she asked him.
~Mintflower
Birchclaw chuckled. "It does, but no one comments on it." he sighed.
~Birchclaw
"I'm just curious. But you don't need to tell me," he avoided her gaze. "Sorry," he meowed embarassed. He grabbed a bramble inbetween his jaws, and another inbetween his paws. He wrapped one around the other and placed it on the den.
~Spiderfoot
"Oh..." Fernsplash looked away.
~Fernsplash
"Sorry, it's just not something I like to talk about." she sighed, wrapping a bramble around a twig to keep a portion of the wall of the warriors den in place.
~Mintflower
Birchclaw smiled. "No need to be shy." he purred warmly.
~Birchclaw
Spiderfoot continued to wrap brambles around one another, adding them to the support of the warriors den.

Fernsplash looked back at him. "I'm just not used to being around so many cats.."
~Fernsplash
Noticing Spiderfoot's dismay, Mintflower distracted him with another question. "How are you liking IvyClan so far?" she asked.
~Mintflower
Birchclaw rested his tail on her shoulders. "You'll get used to all of them." he mewed softly.
~Birchclaw
"So far so good," he replied in a calm tone.
~Spiderfoot
"Y-you think so?" Fernsplash asked.
~Fernsplash
"Great!" Mintflower mewed, giving a warm smile a Spiderfoot.
~Mintflower
"I know so." he purred, flicking her ear with his tail.
~Birchclaw
"I would like to see how strong IvyClan will be after many more cats join," he added. He flicked his tail, and grabbed another bramble, adding it to the warriors den.

Fernsplash felt her ears grow warm. She leaped on him playfully and cuffed one of his ears with her paw. She giggled.
~Fernsplash
"It'll be strong alright." she mewed, adding another bramble to the warriors den.
~Mintflower
Birchclaw narrowed his eyes, shaking Fernsplash off of him. Holding her down, Birchclaw let out a laugh. "Ha." he purred, cuffing her over the ear.

Spiderfoot replied with a nod. He wrapped a bramble around the one that he placed, and another around the one that Mintflower placed onto the warriors den.

"Hey!" Fernsplash tried to get loose from his grip, but from her size, she couldn't. She growled playfully.
~Fernsplash
After adding one last bramble, Mintflower stepped back, looking at the warriors den. "That should do it." she mewed, her eyes bright.

Birchclaw loosened his grip, before grabbing her tail in his mouth. Dragging her around the grass a bit, the ginger tom grinned at Fernsplash.

Spiderfoot stepped back, looking at the warriors den too. He sighed with relief.
~Spiderfoot
"Hey!" Fernsplash growled again. She tried to stand up, but couldn't. She smiled and then, started giggling.

"Well, thank you for helping me, Spiderfoot. Maybe Gorsestar needs another hunting patrol sent out," she mewed, dipping her head.

Birchclaw released Fernsplash. He smiled, laying beside her.
~Birchclaw
Spiderfoot nodded. "I'll go ask him," he trotted off. "Hey, Gorsestar! We finish the warriors den, and a hunting patrol is an idea to do next."

Fernsplash pressed up against him, engulfing his scent.
~Fernsplash
Gorsestar nodded. "Yes. Would you mind taking out Swiftpaw, Birchclaw and Fernsplash?" he asked, giving an approving nod to his deputy.
~Gorsestar
Birchclaw allowed Fernsplash to lean on him, not minding the company of the tortoiseshell she-cat.
~Birchclaw
"Sure," he replied. He dipped his head before padding over to Swiftpaw and Sharppaw, who were play-fighting. "Swiftpaw, your assigned on my hunting patrol."
~Spiderfoot
"Okay!" Swiftpaw padded up to Spiderfoot. "Bye Sharppaw!" She waved her tail in farewell.
~Swiftpaw
"Your acting like your never going to see him again," Spiderfoot teased the apprentice.
~Spiderfoot
Swiftpaw grinned.
~Swiftpaw
Spiderfoot trotted along to the two, Fernsplash and Birchclaw. "I would like you two to come on my hunting patrol."
~Spiderfoot
Birchclaw stood up, helping up Fernsplash. "If course, Spiderfoot. We need more prey for these new cats." Birchclaw smiled.
~Birchclaw
Spiderfoot nodded to the ginger tom, and watchd Fernsplash and Birchclaw. They were standing so close. "Lets go!" Spiderfoot pushed off of the ground with his long, powerful legs.

Swiftpaw ran low to the ground, after the fast deputy.
~Swiftpaw
Fernsplash leaned into Birchclaw one last time, and licked his ear. She started running, slowly, to be able to run beside Birchclaw.

Birchclaw pounded after Spiderfoot, allowing Fernsplash to lick his ear. Maybe she liked him...and maybe he liked her back.

Spiderfoot emerged in a forest clearing. He held his tail to stop his patrol, and leaped into a bush and farther out. He leaped back out from the bush, a rabbit dangled in his jaws. "Their are lots of prey over here," he told them. He dug a hole and placed the rabbit in it.

Swiftpaw widened her eyes at the swift catch. She locked eyes with a mouse, even though it saw her. She leaped forward tried to snatch it, but it fled. "Fox-dung!" she cursed, slamming her paw against the ground.

Fernsplash looked over at Birchclaw. She flashed a smile.

Birchclaw smiled to Fernsplash, before dropping into a hunting crouch. The ginger tom crept silently across the forest floor, making dure he was downwind so the prey couldn't scent him. A vole was nibbling on fallen seeds, not aware of Birchclaw's presence. Birchclaw leaped forward, landing neatly on the vole.

Fernsplash's eyes sparked, and seemed to say, nice catch!

Swiftpaw saw another mouse, and leaped for it. The mouse began to flee, but Swiftpaw was too quick for it.

Birchclaw held up the vole, dropping it into a small hole. Patching up the hole, he looked back at Fernsplash. "Come on, try hunting." he purred warmly.

Fernsplash's eyes darted from one corner of the clearing to the next. Than, her eyes darted up to a tree, where a bird sat perched on it. She climbed up the tree quietly, looking at the bird, never looking away from it. She leaped for it and ended up falling off of the tree with the bird.

"Fernsplash!" he growled, leaping forward. Knowing he couldn't catch her in his jaws, honestly, he flattened himself to the ground, allowing Fernsplash to fall right on top of him.
~Birchclaw
Fernsplash fell off right onto Birchclaw, dazed for moments. She shook her head, seeing Birchclaw under her. "Birchclaw! You saved me!" she gasped.
~Fernsplash
"Yeah, now, could you please get off of me?" he asked, shaking off Fernsplash.
~Birchclaw
"Sorry," Fernsplash muttered and got off of Birchclaw.
~Fernsplash
"I think we should be done hunting, we have enough prey to feed the clan if we share. But, everyone mineaswell catch one more piece of prey to bring back." Spiderfoot leaped off, vanishing. He returned with a vole in his jaws.

Swiftpaw looked around for another mouse to catch. She spotted one, and her shadow landed on the mouse. The mouse fled, but Swiftpaw slashed its side too quick for it.

"It was nothing. Though, I'm not sure you could've survived me falling on top of you." he purred, resting his tail on her shoulders. Birchclaw bounded through the forest, returning to Fernsplash with a rabbit. "Let's get back to Spiderfoot." he mewed, padding with her back to the rest of the patrol.

Fernsplash nodded and on their way back to Spiderfoot, she caught a shrew.

"Lets go back," Spiderfoot meowed, and started off, his two catches dangling from his jaws.

Swiftpaw picked up her two mice. They dangled from her jaws, by their tails.

Birchclaw helped Fernsplash carry her prey, his back still hurting from catching Fernsplash.

Spiderfoot and the others emerged from the forest. He set his prey in the freshkill pile.

Swiftpaw set down her two mice, and bounded back over to Sharppaw.

Fernsplash looked over at Birchclaw, and set her prey down.

Birchclaw set down his vole and rabbit. Choosing Spiderfoot's vole, he sat down, enjoying the nice taste of the rodent. He instructed with his tail for Fernsplash to lie down in front of him.

Fernsplash looked over at Birchclaw, and her eyes sparked. She bounded over to him, and laid down infront of him.
